We often think that we can get a lot of things done by performing multi tasking. However, we should know that our brain can’t actually multitask. It simply switches quickly between tasks. We will need to refocus when we switch task, so we will get a series of interrupted tasks. People may feel efficient when they are able to answer the phone, check email and sipping coffee at the same time. However, they are actually switching between three tasks and there’s a very brief refocus period.

It is important for you to know whether multitasking can really be helpful. There’s a possibility that you actually spend more time to complete all the tasks.
